Open Brain

Our LFS has a beautiful metallic/flourescent green open brain it is gourgeous but it does have a hole in its flesh that seems to have some encrustation around it (the hole in the flesh) a rusty color actually looks like the kind of hole a worm puts in an apple, the coral looks super healthy and my wife wants it badly but we are uneasy about buying it because of the hole. I am also sure that this is most likely a wild caught brain also as the owner is a distributor to many of the local stores. any input will be greatly appreciated

They seem to recover quite well. The rusty color, is it the flesh? Is there any brown matter coming from the hole?

Sure it isn't the mouth?

Joking aside, if it otherwise looks healthy, I say go for it.

it is the flesh, no matter coming from the hole, and not it is not the mouth it is on the side of it
