open brain

i bought a new open brain last week and i havent really seen it open up with the lights on. The feeders do come out and i have fed at night, but i was wondering if there is something i am doing wrong. any advice would be appreciated

You can train your brain to have it's tenticles come out during the day. It's the same idea as training your sun polyps to come out during the day.

Feed while the lights are on, and it'll eventually get the hint. That's what i did with mine.

idk. i never trained my green brain to keep its feeders out 24/7. my other red brain only comes out at night. i dont see how a coral can be "trained". im going to tag along, as i also want to kno

its on the sand away from everything else. its possible it could be getting too much current i will try and place it somewhere different and see if that helps. anything else you can think is wrong or could be wrong? thanks for your help

if it looks shriveled and withdrawn it's usually sign it's not happy. Make sure it's not getting stung, picked on or blasted by current. The polyp should swell niceley during the day but the mouth and tentacles typically open at night. Mine will sometimes show their mouths after fish food is added during the day but it's mostly a morning/night thing.
