opinion on flukes needed

Does anyone know why copper alone at high dosage with a lower salinity 1.015...would not kill gill flukes??

You don't need to lower salinity if you're already dosing with copper. In my experience, Seachem's Cupramine is the safest copper treatment on the market. Keep the concentration at 0.5mg/liter. Although the bottle says that most fish tolerate it up to 0.8mg/liter, I really try not to overdose. Although copper has been reported to be effective against flukes, I've found prazi-pro (praziquantel) to be more effective. I dose Cupramine and Prazi-Pro concurrently all the time and it's perfectly safe.

limitdown, I've taken your advice about cupramine and prazipro, and have been using that for about 5 days on my new juvenile koran angel in my 20 gal QT. 2 days ago I began noticing what looks like depressed white areas to the sides of his eyes (about 3mm in diameter), and perhaps towards his back. I thought that this could be the beginning of HLLD. Do you think there's any chance that this could be from the combo of meds? Thanks.

I've used the Cupramine+Prazi combination many times before, but have never had it cause pitting on any fish. How are your water? Are any of the fins frayed? Sometimes issues can be linked back to an ammonia spike.
Is the fish eating well? Try soaking food in selcon on some days and in garlic on other days.
Hope this helps.
