Opinion on Tunze 6100

Looking for opinions..good,bad or otherwise on tunze 6100 pumps. They may be too much flow for me but are they a good reliable pump? What would be a reasonable price for a good used one? Thanks

Good pumps. Very reliable. Be careful buying them. The 6000 and 6100 are the same pump. They all say 6100 on the back of the pump, The only difference is the size of the round transformer. The 6100 uses a much larger one. I would be sure to ask the seller what the part number of the transformer is. There are a lot of 6000s being sold as 6100s.

Thanks for the advice. So the 6100 is better? Stronger? More reliable? So the transformer on a 6100 should be about what size? Can I get the part # somewhere? Thanks again. This is the info I needed.

6100 has more GPH than the 6000. 7410.602 is the 6100 transformer part number.

Find the cleaning instructions from Tunze and do that every 6-9 months and these will last forever.

$200 is a decent price for a used one IMO. I recommend getting two so you can have the two steams collide. It creates very nice random flow this way.
