Here is a picture of my new clam. My first. I have had it for about 2 weeks and has not attached itself to the rock that is covered by the sand. He really hasn't move from the position I put him in. Once attached to the rock I plan on moving it higher in the tank. I feed the clam with live phyotoplankton every other day with a cut out coke bottle. from what i can see in that pic it looks ok.

Derasas as they grow larger dont use there byssal threads so i would be worried about it not attaching
