Opinions needed on Frag tank

I'm in the process of planning a frag tank to hook into my 90 gallon and have 2 options. Either way I only have room for a 24 inch tank.

Option one is to get a 20G high and drill it for an overflow. That option would cost me about 100 bucks.

Option two is to order a custom acrylic frag tank from John at Advance Acrylic. The tank would be 24x18x10 with a corner overflow "“ see pic below. This option would cost me about twice as much as the 20g high

At this point I'm leaning toward going with the custom built tank. Any thoughts or comments?

Very tempting offer Walter - would save me the trouble of having to build a stand. Got a picture you can send me or post here?

you can buy my 30g rimless for 350 :)

The first system is a 30g Miracles rimless tank (super nice)

I have two 20 tall frag tanks. they work, though most of the height is a waste for my LPS tank. For LPS I would love to go shallow with T5 lighting high up.

Thanks for all of the offers guys but I think I'll end up going with the shallow tank - anyone have any experience with Advanced Acrylic? The wife wants a stand to match the other one I have and likes the look of the shallow tank.

Probably should have just checked with the boss first :spin3:

I have a custom tank from John at advanced. He worked well with me and was always responsive via both emial and phone. I love the 24x48x12 tank I purchased and would use him again in a heartbeat.

Forget the frag tank - that would make a very cool display tank!

Seriously though....that is a nice acrylic tank - good luck!
