I'm sure this discussion has already happened a million times, but I'm going to go ahead and ask for opinions and any information about these lights people might know to enlighten me. This light has 2 150w mh lights with 2 t5 lights and is 48" long. Here's the link http://www.ebay.com/itm/48-Metal-Halide-T5-HO-Aquarium-Light-150-HQI-Moon-NEW-/190492907812?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c5a431924#ht_2252wt_824

Does anyone know anything regarding the ballasts on these lights? Like where are they and what type are they?? I'm more looking for information on these kind of lights more than whether I should actually buy them or sell them, just for my own info/knowledge. Some of these lights are so cheap on ebay it's tempting unless I hear some good knowledge!! Please post!

With no name it is impossible to tell you anything about the fixtures specs. Perhaps the correct person would be the seller? I can tell you that cheap and metal halide should never be used in the same sentence. A high heat, high current "cheap" fixture exposed to high humidity is never a good idea. Notice that there are no decent pics of the product? Is the T5 reflector individual or just a single flat one? Is it UL listed or a Chinese import?

Too many unknowns to trust that it is safe and a decent fixture. The last thing you need is fixture that has issues, high heat and moisture and questionable quality should always be a warning to stay away.
