Opinions on first clam

Team RC
I wanted to get some advice from the pro's about attempting a clam in my reef tank. I was thinking of getting a crocea or maxima, but i am unfamiliar with either species and wanted to research before purchase. Right now I am keeping some SPS and a few softies in a 58 gallon with 30 gallon sump. The tank is ~24 inches deep, and I do not have a sand bed. The rocks are placed on a cutting board. I am running 6 T-5 bulbs overdriven (probably giving over 50 watts each), with a 6k, 2 11k, 2 AquaBlue, and 1 Actinic. My temp holds steady at 78, and my phosphates/nitrates have been undetectable for the past 6 months. I am dosing kalkwasser through my auto top-off and have a dKh ~7.2 and calc over 500 ppm. I have a half-black angel (who does like to nip at things every now and again) and a foxface as the only 2 fish in the tank. For flow, I have a mag-18 return and 4 maxi-jet mods (which probably push about 1000 gph). This may be excessive flow for the clam, though there are some strategic dead spots throughout the tank.

So the questions;
Are there any recommendations of change to my tank prior to adding a clam?

Where would be the best place to put it?

How can i attach it such that it will not fall (on the bottom or the rocks)? I would prefer it on the rocks, but i am unsure how to secure it.

Thanks for your advice!
