Opinions on Powerhead Placement

Hello everybody, I am new to the forum and have had my tank for just over a year. I recently went out and purchased 2X vortech mp40 pumps to add on to the 2X Koralia Hydor Evolution 1150s. I am looking for opinions on where I should place everything especially the Hydors given that they won't be the "main" powerheads. I have heard that one of them should be pointed behind the live rock to stir things up. If you have any suggestions on anything about the tank, even if it isn't about powerhead placement, feel free to leave it here.

Attached are photos of the tank in it's current state.

you should place the corals first. then position the powerheads to the liking of corals. also don't forget the dead spots and surface agitation.

Welcome to RC!

I have had my corals in the same locations for several months now. I know that I am going to put one of the powerheads in the middle agitating the surface/disrupting the vortech flow. I have them set to anti sync tidal swell mode, which so far the corals seem to like.

Hello. New to the forum as well. I have two heads on either side of my 36 gal cube with a fair bit of rock and corral in the middle of the tank. It works out so both blow and circulate water but then create a downward flow in the middle. My corral all seem to be fine with it but I get a lot of debris on the rock because I don't have anything that stirs up the lower regions of the tank. I have been taking care of it myself slowly by cleaning rocks here and there but just want to make sure I am not creating any long term issue. Fish are happy and corral are always open so Im not thinking I need to change too much but just looking to address the debris.
