Opinions on the 70w K-2 Viper MH for nanocube

I was wondering if anyone had one of these and what they thought about it. I replaced my 36w pc's with one but it seems dimmer than before. Maybe theres more benificial lighting anyhow.

I've read many complaints about the 70W version. It may just be because of the bulb. I would replace it with one of the german brand bulbs.

Just the usual JBJ bulb complaints. The quality of their bulbs makes Hamiltons look like Armani suits:lol:

Dimming, flickering, complete failure, buzzing. It could be that their 70W design isn't as fine tuned, since it's not as popular here, as the 150W doesn't seem to have the same frequency of issues.

i'll try changing bulbs but they're pretty expensive. do you know where i can get a good deal

One of their sponsor sell halide bulbs pretty cheap. I think his name is Dr. Lamp.

The bulb is a replaceable item, I think he would be looking for overall problems with performance......ie: heat issues.....because I know people have problems with the PCs in that dept already, I would be curious of that......I was thinking of getting one myself and hadn't decided on building my own kit, and putting on a coralife 150w clip-on over it or going with the cubes with the option.
