Opinions/Suggestions needed for New Sump/My Reef Creations Skimmer

With the help of an expert I met here on Reef Central I am getting ready to build a new sump. We will be taking a 75 gallon tank and building a sump/fuge.
I am upgrading my skimmer and have decided to go with a My Reef Creations MR-2 ... The questions I need answered are:

1) After all is said and done I will have 240 gallons .. The MR-2 is rated for 300 gallons.. Should I upgarade to a 2nd Beckett as well? Will getting the 2nd Beckett option increase productivity and capacity?

2) I do not have that much experience with pumps.. The skimmer will sit in the sump and I could run a Mag 18 or Mag 20... Does anyone have any opinions on this? I was thinking about maybe a more powerful pump that would sit outside the tank, BUT I would rather not drill the tank ....

Thanks for the suggestions

I think he's looking to use the Mag 18 as the feed pump for the skimmer.

You can create an over the top loop similar to Melev's original closed loop system. Priming the system is fairly easy, and only needs to be done when the loop is broken.

Oh sorry, MRC gives a couple of recommondations for pumps to run it. The MAg 18, a GenX, Blue Line...
Since I would rather not drill any holes in the tank I would go with the Mag 18 because it will sit inside the sump.
Unless I could use the blueline and just run PVC up and over the sump .. >>>
This might affect the performance to greatly?? I am not sure..

Thanks,
JAson
