Going to upgrade my 90 corner to a either a 120 or 150...tank sits on the main floor with a basement underneath. 90 has been there 8 years with no structural issues. To the point, worried about the increased weight. A steal beam in the basement runs under the tank, but not centered. Guesstimate its about 2/3 of the way toward the back of the tank. The tank would run perpindicular to the floor joists. It also butts up to an outside wall. So, will the weight be a concern?

My 150 sits on perpendicular floor joists, not an issue at all. It's about 1500 lbs with water and furniture, add live rock about 100lbs. Long story short that's hardly any weight.

I would go with the 120 myself the 150 is a 120 with 6" of extra height making it 30" tall (correct me if I'm wrong). Unless your a lanky dude it's real tough getting to the bottom of a 30" tank. I know this from having a 30" tall tank and being 5'8" . I go pit deep sometimes to get to the bottom front.
