opps..painted tank with oil-based paint

as the title says ive made a ****-up!!!!

i painted the back and a bit of the side with oilbased gloss paint on my new 72x24x24 tank...

i understand that over time this will eat into the silicone joints and rot them away making the joints fail....

is this correct... what would you do in this situation???

Did you paint the outside, or the inside? If its the outside you are fine. If its the inside your in trouble, and should start a scraping

painted the outside,,, i may be new but not that stupid lol

ever heard of paint remover. next time use rustoleum krylon paint. works great

Are you saying that oil based paint dissolves silicone ?
