Options for 25 - 50g system

Hello all,

A number of years back I had a 25 gal tank that was just a standard glass pet store tank. I was seriously into DIY back then and built my own rock (aragocrete), lighting, HOB overflow, sump and skimmer). It was definitely a lesson in what works and what doesn't. Due to moving and other life items, that tank is no longer around.

I am a bit older and wiser and my pockets are a bit deeper nowadays and I would like to get back into a tank.

I still like to tinker but I'm leaning toward far less DIY this time around. I want a system that's capable of handling SPS somewhere between 25 and 50 gallons.

I like the idea of picking the components for my system especially lighting, and pre-drilled is a must!! I'll never reef without a sump again after I added one to my last system. It's just too convenient.

All that being said, I really like this option from Cadlights

But I have read a lot of horror stories about Cadlights with cracked tanks, cabinets worse than Ikea quality, etc. etc.

Are there other quality nano systems out there with just a drilled tank, cabinet and sump? I guess that would be semi-AIO systems?

Any help is appreciated.

Check out the new Red Sea Reefer series of tanks from Red Sea. They are awesome and unlike most AIO tanks, the reefer series includes a sump so that you have room for a traditional skimmer.

Well maybe that's a bit of an overstatement.

These Reefer series tanks look awesome! I was really nervous about the bad press that the Cadlights systems have gotten and the idea of having Red Sea quality is really exciting.

These systems seem to be as rare as hen's teeth online which is probably why I missed it, but my LFS is an authorized Gold Dealer for Red Sea and I can order it through them.

I'm sold on the Reefer 170.

34 Gallon with a sump and integrated ATO and I can choose all my own equipment, AND it's a cube???
