Options for Manjos/Aiptisa Control??

So like to title says, I am looking for options to rid my tank of nuciance manjos/aiptisa. I have tried Kalk Paste, Joes Juice, Racoon Butterfly all with the same results. It keeps comming back.

I think the the Raccoon was the best untill he ot sucked up too a power head intake over night and died.

But with all Butterflys they are hit or miss with the ating of the aiptisa. I also run a mixed reef that is about 50% SPS 25% Zoo's 25% LPS (Acans). So I am afarid of adding something that will attack these.

So what are my options for this without pulling all my rock and cooking it? Thanks Tim

I just got a coral from a buddy of mine. It had a 100 manjonos on it. I mixed up a lit`l Mrs W. and put it in a needle and sent those lit`l s.o.bs. to hell! one saw the needle comeing and jumped ship, but my pepps will get his lit`l but! It`s good to have a back up plain.

dude

you better have a 'back up plan' for the back up plan
- cuz your peps aint go'n to eat that majano that jumped ship... it might be you jumpn ship (from reefn) after waiting for your pep to catch and eat that majano and in the meantime majano setting down 'roots' in your tank!

in fact i would even suggest giving that coral back
to your friend and wouldnt waste you time w/ it - the way i see it he gave it away for a reason and a friend dont give a friend a majano encrusted coral...

have you dealt w/ majanos before ?

i had majanos appear on rocks in my tank

after researching and learning all i can
i decided to remove all the infested rocks and stick them in bleach for a day then sun dried them (about 40# of LR)- it was not worth it to me to allow the problem to get out of hand and infest the rest of the LR... it wont be long for the rock to become 'live' again either... after reading others like yourself that had them 'recurring' no matter what they did i decided to take this course of action - w/ over 300# of LR betw 3 systems it was a 'safe' decision to make albeit loss of life in the LR.

Peps dont eat majanos they eat aiptasia. Majone will die with a nice injection of lemon juice as will aiptasia. Best thing to do is inject all the majanos with Lemon juice and aiptasia get peppermint shrimps buy several of them. If that still doesnt work you can pull the rock and scrub then cook them. Hope that helps.

Exactly how big is your tank, and how many aptasia we talking bout here?

My experience:
I have a Mysis filled Fuge, and I had a rock I added to spread the mysis to another tank start to develop with aptasia, quickly since ther was so much food available.

My friend said he knew how to kill em, and grabed my bottle of Kent Liquid Calcium, (in the yellow label). Lifted the small rock out of the water, and dripped over the top of each one, and BAM, all gone. i had 3 small tiny ones come back (i believe he missed them) re treated, and were clean slate as of 3 weeks now.

I just set up a 200 gal tank, and had a small aptasia pop up on a rock at the very bottom of my huge display wall. Couldent pull the rock out, so i grabbed my trusty turkey baster, completely filled it with The Kent Liquid calcium, and steadly, and slowly blasted the anemone with 100% solution. clean and clear in there for 2 weeks now too.

Problem with injecting them is you can miss, but cant tell cause they are all pulled in. doing it in the way above, you can see the destroyed tissue, left from the attacked anemone, it dosent even have a chance to suck in to the holes to hide.
