Mine started out well then stopped growing and lost color. Started to receed from the base. I ended up fragging it. so far the 2 frags are looking good and starting to grow. This is a tough coral to keep happy IMO. Unusual for ORA.
Bellina is probably my favorite ORA piece. I had a frag but lost it when I transferred my tank. It does seem to be a sensitive piece. A friend of mine had beautiful colony and when he had some issues with his tank it was the first he lost. It's a beautiful piece. I've been trying to find it for a while.
I've had mine from a MINUTE ORA frag since November 09. It is a slow grower and has gone light and colored back up on 2 diff occaisions but is growing faster since putting ferric oxide on my tank. This is about the best pic I can take of it because of the bow and its location in the tank.
It's just to the right of the formosa (light tan colored coral)
I had a lot of trouble with mine as well, and had to frag it but I managed to save three good pieces which are now growing (albeit VERY slowly) but I'm not yet getting the nice purple. Polyp extension is excellent however and I'm hoping eventually I'll get that great color. Here's a recent shot, still looking pretty brown (with one of Gary's mini carpet anemones hanging on the front of the rock)
