ORA Id

I just got this colony of an ORA coral. I am wondering if someone can id it for me?

I don't think it is a purple nana, but I guess I will have to wait and see.

I'm with you on this but since it's sliming a bit it's obviously ****ed off about something. It may be hard to id until it settles into its new surroundings. Definitely doesn't look like the Nana in my tank but we'll see.

Im gonna say it looks like what ORA sells as their tricolor valida, although I think there is a solid argument it isnt really a valida

Incidentally, that dang coral is one I have never for any extended period fo time been able to maintain color on, and more than once have had die off issues with it. I think I have several pieces of it going in different places right now. I may take a couple pics later to compare for you

If you want to compare, here is my ORA Tri Color Valida. You may be right, it could be the "Tri color valida" up above.

Don't worry, I have a couple of those type corals myself. Good ID though, when I first saw the OP I had no idea.

I immediately though tricolor valida.. although it does seem like the calyx aren't as well pronounced and growth pattern is somewhat different (from mine at least).

I have the same problem with my tricolor valida.. I think I have it too high/close to the light. That being said I think it's healthy/happy and it has encrusted way too much to even consider moving it.:p

Now that it is settling in, I can say that the body is dark sea greens with dark purples and the polyps are a vibrant neon green. I am thinking it will continue to color up, so I will post a pic later and we will see what y'all think.
