ORA Miami Orchid Staghorn

where should i place my new ORA Miami Orchid Staghorn? i have it in the mid of tank so its getting good light and i have it rite under my voodo and the voodo has amazinf pe but the Miami Orchid Staghorn have none

My orchid doesn't throw polyps as much as others.

Probably normal. I have mine 2/3 down and it is coloring up nicely.

Start lower in the tank and then slowly raise it up. Check your water parameters as well and it never hurts to do a water change.

ya i started mid way only b/c the guy i got it from had it under the same light and it was 3 in' away from the top lol, where do you guys think i should put a blue voodoo? it wide open so im going to glue it in place just want to know if i need to put it up high to get it to color up under t5s

I have my mother colony just below midline in my 175 and it's color is very good. I have a frag 6" from the light and it's growing FAST.

You can see some top sections under the pyramid on the left...

I have mine at 225 par under mid line and its growing like a weed I have to agree PE is very minimal if any, but its only been in my tank 8 weeks, but a fast grower for sure.

thanks, the past few weeks ive been scared that im killing it b/c it has all most no pe so i moved it a lil lower and less flow and i cant tell a diff but my red plant was happy with the move lol
