I heard from a store owner that ORA is releasing a naked black ocellarus, called Midnight clowns. Is anyone able to confirm or deny this?

Completely off topic, but how old is the fish in your avatar Flame? :(

He's an ORA 1 3/4 "B" grade snowflake. Not sure how old that makes him. My guess 1 year.

No rain here elvis less demand = lower prices for me.:bounce3:

I like freaks, misbars and variants

That'll work. ;) It's a cute fish--I just like the contrast of the white stripes. Fortunately there's a clown to suit just about every taste. :p

Ya I was talking to a ORA staff bout a week ago and he/she told me they were going to be relesing them very soon! The starting cost isnt going to be much less than picassos!

I like em all when I bought my black O's I bought one absolutely perfect striped and one extreme misbar.

ORA Introduces the Midnight Clown

Last month at Global Pet Expo 2010 we unveiled our newest designer clownfish. The ORA Midnight Clown is an all black clown with no stripes. It is the result of a natural mutation found in ORA's grow-out systems and was selectively bred over the past year.

While maybe not for purists, we are sure that clownfish aficionados will be thrilled with this newest entry, and a devoted collector could now have an all-orange, a near all-white and an all-black ocellaris clownfish.

Just as with the natural Black Ocellaris variation, the Midnight Clown starts out life with an orange color that turns black as it ages. The new Midnights available from ORA have almost completely transformed to black, but may have a touch of their juvenile orange left. They will finish becoming all black as they reach maturity. The offspring run the gamut from being completely naked to uniquely patterned extreme misbars.

Occasionally we find Midnight Clowns with cheek dots and taking Julian Sprung's advice, we're nicknaming those "œDominos." This exceptional color morph is yet another example of the power of selective breeding in aquaculture.

Here is a pic of the Domino Clown.

I feel as though I should begin buying fish at Macy's with all of these obnoxious designer cliche's they're developing..

I myself don't care for any of the ORA designs but that's just my taste. There is obviously a market for these fish so to each his own.

ooo, I like those. The dominos look nicer to me though, I too like extreme misbars over nekked! I have two extreme misbar b&w's one missing the third stripe and a snowcap for the second, and the other with snowcaps for second and third both with full first stripes
