You can order most things ORA from Fuiji. I ordered my ORA pink birdsnest from him.
I don't get censored mentioning LFS here, right?

No, this forum no longer belongs exclusively to a particular store.
I am truly sorry that you feel that you were unfairly "œcensored" when this forum "œbelonged" to the CVRC. In addition, yes "œOur President" did what he had to do to hold us together through thick and thin. He and his family along with the owner of the store you are talking about here in this thread, kept the CVRC together with very little help.
As for other stores, we have always been loyal to the one who helped us get started. The owner of the store in question donated prizes for drawings. Let us meet at his store, even when by the second or third meeting there was so many of us that he could no longer service his regular customers because we took up the whole store not to mention his parking lot. We were parking along the streets for blocks around the store and walking in. Yet he never once complained. He just kept supplying us with prizes for drawings. (Nice prizes if I remember, and enough that most people present at the meeting, when the drawing started took something home. As far as I am concerned, he and his store deserved/deserves our loyalty. The next thing and this is really, very important, and I believe that there are some of you still here, that have been here long enough to know, other stores, were invited, to join this one store, and let us meet at their stores, so that it was not just one store inconvenienced by our meetings. However, no one else was willing to let us meet in his or her store even once a year. If, they could not, be bothered, by us, why should we do anything to promote their business. Sorry but I can't see it as censorship, I see as loyalty, and I know the other stores, in the area refused to let us meet there, because I, personally, had been talking with the owners of those stores for over a year, while looking for some place that we could meet. Even the store where we met in the beginning says, I, do not have the time. It was the owner of the store, who suggested the rotation from one store to the next each meeting. He would be happy to have us occasionally, but we should share the club with other stores as well. When no one else would "œagree", he said okay, we could try, and see what happens. As soon as he said that, the CVRC was born. Yes, born is the correct word to use. I do not think anyone realized in those early days how much, how fast the CVRC would grow, or how much difference we would actually make. However, the one storeowner gave over his store to us, for our meetings and never once complained, even when his regular customers, could not get into his parking lot or his store. Even when, things started missing, after the meetings, he still allowed us to meet there. Yes, someone attending the meetings was stealing from this store, and I mean some major items were coming up missing. Yet he did not blame everyone, for what one or maybe more were doing and continued to donate prizes and let us come into his store. He was loyal to us, why would we not be loyal to him.
Eventually other stores decided if I "œcan't beat" them I will join them and started making donations (though none as generous and what the original store donated) and they got our loyalty the same as the original store. They still have that loyalty.

I think one can appreciate what has been done by the early enthusiast of the area while enjoying recent changes which censor fewer discussions pertaining to Aquarium related retailers.
Censorship or Loyalty depends on how you look at it. Actually, the reason the CVRC did not allow other stores mentioned, was due to some liability issues on the site. The Owner of the original meeting location and "œthe CVRC President" were, threatened, by others with lawsuits over things some of the things that were posted to the site about other stores. That is when, as well as the reason, the rule about talking about non-sponsor stores began.

I have no issues with anyone. I, frankly, don't understand what has gone on recently, but it seems like they took their ball and went home. Okay. That's their problem/business. I can say that they were always nice to me when I was in there, always helpful, etc. It just seemed like this forum belong to them and they felt like it was their own. Any mention of anyone else was tantamount to treason. Not so anymore. I have malice in my heart towards anyone and meant to imply no malice. It was mostly a light-hearted joke.
As for taking our ball and going home, it was the best thing that has happened to the CVRC/ Chemical Valley Reef Club. We welcome anyone who wants to join us, we have more than doubled what we were when we were here.
Those of us who were committed to the CVRC and its purpose worked very hard to hold things together behind the scenes. No one argues anymore, many members some old ones, while we were here, some new members, since we have moved have stepped up and work just as hard as the original core members for the good of the club. It is very nice and peaceful now.
I think the CVRC has been LOYAL to its original purpose from the beginning. We have taught many, and some of you, still here as the "œAppalachian Reef Society" are included in the many, how to frag corals and keep them alive. The CVRC has done a lot to further this hobby, as anyone can see, from some of the early threads here in this forum. It was the CVRC, not the Appalachian Reef Society" that donated corals to the NEW ORLEANS AQUARIUM, after Hurricane Katrina, destroyed everything. I know this, and which club members, donated what to The New Orleans Aquarium, because I personally, delivered the donated Corals to Christine, who was the overseer at the Aquarium, she met me at the airport, to pick them up. It was "œThe CVRC" which was instrumental in saving the Shark that found a new home in a large Aquarium at a zoo. We have up held our goals of teaching others about the hobby, Saving the Wild Reefs. When we see a way to help, save an animal or help someone hit by disaster, The Chemical Valley Reef Club, steps up and does what it can to help. I am proud, to say, that is what the CVRC is all about, always has been and always will be.
Personally, I believe that this forum, should have been locked down, and left here, as The Chemical Valley Reef Club, but instead we were generous and let you claim what actually belonged to the CVRC. So at least acknowledge that you would not be where you are today if not for what we did back in the beginning.
No matter what you do, as long as you are using the history we left behind you will always be that spin off club from the CVRC, so Please remember when you speak badly about us, you are speaking badly about your mother, father, grandparents. Same thing. We gave you your start, without us, you would have argued amongst yourselves so much that you would still be unorganized. I have not gone back through to see what you have done with our old threads but I hope all, the original threads, on this forum, were, locked down, and still bear the CVRC name.
