ORA Purple Stylo

Haven't seen anyone posting pics of the new ORA Purple Stylo "in the wild" yet. I just picked mine up at 9am Wednesday morning, so I thought I'd throw up a pic of it.

My camera isn't that great, but it gives you a bit of an idea. It's more of a deep and vibrant purple than my Birds of Paradise is. My BOP is almost a maroon/purple color, but so far the Purple Style is a true purple color. Hopefully it colors up even further over the next few weeks in my tank.

Thanks for sharing. I saw ORAs picture of this January release with a google search. Just curious, how much are these going for? I would think being a Stylo it would be on the lower side of the ORA price range, but I could be wrong.

Nice pic. I definitely need to buy a better camera someday! Regarding price, I think it's probably retailing around the $50-60 mark, or the "lower" end of the ORA price range. I paid around $55 for mine at my LFS.

I got mine with a frogskin for $100...good deal? I dunno, but it's gorgeous to say the least. My frag looks identical to ThurlowR's pic. I love it! I hope it grows as fast as they claim.

I am sure it is. They got this strain from Europe if I recall correctly.

In my opinion the pink or purple stylo is a relatively common coral. I think ORA could have come up with something better. Either way, I love the purple stylo...here is mine. Not the ora, but probably very close.

looks like pretty common stylo with purple base and flourescent polyp (greenish/purplish)
It has been around in the hobby for a while just without the ORA name..
