Could be not enough light or flow if thats the only one. Make sure your alk is at 9.0. And that you have good flow around the frag. Keep a close eye on it. How long have you had it?
if it still has tissue it is not stn just keep a close eye on it and if it progresses you should frag a healthy piece of the coral to try and save it. It is probably a area that is not getting enough light and flow.
it's actually not super glue gel. it's growing onto the plug now, you can see it in this picture.
here is the updated pic. you can see the growth and extra polyps. but it's still white and it seems that the base is turning white on the other side as well.
I actually found a pic of the frag on Day 1. It's clearly redder on the base, now the whiteness has spread further up but there are still polyp extension. I'm baffled.
The Red planet depending on light intensity will turn white with pink coralites eventually.... take a look at mine, perfectly normal.
The base on mine is actually green bc its under shade.... if you look to the left its more shaded so its a bit of a darker color. But towards the right where its tabling its actually white.
Hope this puts you at ease BTW i had mine fomr a frag like yours as well.
