Orange and Cream worm like thing? (no pic)

I have this worm like thing that comes out as soon as I turn off my lights on the tank, it appears to be attached to a large rock I have. The tip is a light orange and the base is a cream or off white. All along it there are tiny thorns.

Anybody have any idea what this is?

It sounds like a bristleworm to me. Try an image search and see if that's a match.

I think this MIGHT be it, but it is MUCH MUCH smaller.

yup, bristleworm. harmless and reef safe. they scavange all left over food. if u see them on an animal (dead animal) that means the animal died and they're eating it. they DONT KILL animals.
