Orange and Green Cap FS

Sure do. Kalied20, I sent you a PM back a few days ago. I have 1 maybe 2 green caps left and several orange. Some people said they wanted frags and haven't come to pick them up. If you still want them, come get them fast because they will go first come first serve.

My PM box is cleared out now for those sending messages about the remaining frags. I'm all cleaned out of green cap now besides a few smal peices that I will probably save to grow out for the chatt frag swap. I've still got a few orange caps and misc. other stuff.

Chris,
Thanks for the great deal on the frags! The purple digi, orange digi, green serietapora, and orange cap are doing great. Blue digi not so great, but 4 out of 5 ain't bad!

Wanted to ask you about your kalkwasser mix. I remember you telling me you dosed once a day, and that dow flakes was part of the recipe but wasn't sure. Would you tell me the recipe and how often you dose?

Thanks again,
Will

I'm pretty sure he uses Randy's 2-part:

and

The second article is a new and improved recipe. Mostly the difference is with the magnesium part. I don't know if Chris doses Mg. I haven't had a need to yet, but I dont' have a ton of corals. I think my water changes are probably what keeps my mg levels fine.

The kalkwasser is something that is added in addition to Randy's two part. It doesn't do a whole lot for calcium levels (does some) but can keep the pH reasonable for tanks that are lowish on the pH side. He has a DIY kalk reactor in line with his auto topoff. That is what puts the kalkwasser in his system. I'm working on a similar setup for mine.

Bernini, sorry for not getting to your post sooner. I have been out of town. Crumbletop is correct. I dose Randy's 2 part, but I mix my solutions only 75% as concentrated as his directions. I have had problems getting the solution to stay dissolved over time. I also run a kalkwasser reactor and dose seachem iodine, strontium, reef vitamin, and reef trace once a week ( a little less than half what Seachem recommends). If the blue digi isn't doing well, try giving it less flow. I've noticed that the blue digi doesn't like as much flow as the others. HTH.
