Orange crab. Anyone seen this one do any damage?

Cute little fellow but just not sure...
Its underside is blue with little purple.

my LFS used to sell those years back. i bought 1 and only saw it maybe 2 times the whole time i had it. it didnt like to come out from under the rock work. i never noticed it causing any damage to anything in my tank while i had it either.

I usually associate the eyes on stalks with fiddler type crabs. I suspect that crab may need to be able to crawl onto dry land to be happy and maybe even in order to feed.

yup it's an "uca" fiddler crab, most likely it'll die in the next few days. they are a tidal species and spend a good amount of time out of the water

oddly enough i have the same crab. i mean for sure the exact same. at first i thought it was a fiddler crab but he has lived underwater in my tank for over a month without land and even weirder ive seen him eat underwater.

i'm amazed you've kept it alive for so long, mine started losing limbs very quickly
