Just wanted to share a pair of fijian skunks that I picked up for my GF's tank. They are a tangerine orange and not pink at all. If I werent so attached to my black occies they would be in my tank.

I've seen pairs like that go for over $200 online so at $20 a piece that is a great find.

I was reading that a pair went on RHS for $250 and labeled as "sunkist clowns." Im not sure if these qualify as those. I was going to pick them up regardless of price but hearing they were $20 dollars a fish made the find even better. Im glad my girlfriend agreed to get them, as she initially wanted picassos.

good find they've great color!

Thanks marc

The "sunkist" ones look just like yours for what it is worth. I believe atleast some of the orange ones come out of Fiji. Reason I say that is because a while ago I ordered a large Fijian pink skunk from bluezoo and it came in very similar to yours. Unfortunately it lost the will to live.

Sorry to hear about the loss, the LFS I purchased them from has another pair out of fiji and they looked the same. They were a little bigger though and hosting in a red haddoni carpet, which made for a fascinating sight.

Those are some very nice looking skunks. Are you going to try and purchase and anemone that will host them?

Thanks. There is a rose anemone in the tank which they show no interest in as of yet. A green bubble tipped anemone will be added in the future.

Nice find and you can't beat the price either. If I had the room for more clowns I would have to find some skunks like yours.

Nice pickup. I have a pair of "sunkist" pink skunks and they are the same as you pictured. Mine came in from Wet Thumb Frags, I got a good price but far more then $20 each!

They are great clowns, ours are in our soon to be non-photo 60g rimless.

Thanks, the clowns are my girlfriends, but I "think" they are mine :fun4:.

Thanks, it would be cool to see a picture of yours if possible. These ones are currently in a 29 gallon reef and gobble down hikari mysis. Have you noticed any color loss btw since you have had them, and what are you feeding?

I will work on getting some pics. I have had mine for 6+ months and no color change. I feed a varied diet, little of everything from flake to frozen to pellet.

Those look great! That is exactly what I would like to find for my larger tank once it is up and running. Are they aggressive or passive?

My skunks have not shown any interest in my GBTA as of yet. It's been over a month and they don't even give it a second look.

nice looking pair! I know what you mean about being attached to your black clowns though. My black saddlebacks are by far the favorite fish I've owned.
