Orange Moon Snails

Are they reef and clam safe. The LFS said they are, but then again.... need I say more.

i don't know about the decorative clams, but moon snails are predatory and drill holes into the clams they prey on. Moon snails are the reason you see all thos clam shells with holes at the beach.

There's also Norissia, which are the snails sometimes called "red footed moon snails." Those guys are kelp specialists from cold water and aren't suited for a reef tank either.

Whatever snails they're selling, skip them.

I have a corcea in my tank that is amazing and the last thing i want is for it to be eaten by a 3 dollar snail.

its funny b/c in my first tank i had the red footed snails and they were the longest living snails i have ever had.
