I wish I saw my Jannsi more. Where did you get your orange stripe? I don't think I've ever seen one on DD and I know I've never seen one at an LFS.

I got it at my good LFS. The orange multis are MUCH more gregarious and out than the other flagtails I have. I have a banded and a bluestripe and they're only out before lights on and right before lights off if at all. Very, very different. Also, the orange multi prefers food off the substrate. The other two snick away in the water column. This is my second orange multi. My first weened well and then got what looked like a fungal infection. This one is going strong for a few months now but I don't really see it take frozen yet. Hunts the rocks all day long. I'd love to have a group of 3 or 5.

I found my multibanded at a store in Bellevue. Where did you find yours?

The one I have will only eat one prepared food and that is hykari mysis.
Yeah, a group would be cool.

Any idea how to sex them? Are males as intolerant of each other as bluestripes or Janssi?

I got mine at Barrier Reef. I don't think you can sex them easily. I think the males have a flatter area on the ventral side. I've seen a 5-lot of bandeds on DD. I don't think they are as feisty as bluestripes. All hearsay.

I'm assuming that to have a group of 3 or more, you could have only a single male with a harem of females.
