I know that once a sponge starts to die it is just about impossible to save it but I keep on trying. I had a cyano out break in my seahorse tank and have since rectified it or so I thought. I have introduced more flow and have been sucessfull in stopping the cyano but cannot seem to get all of the cyano off the sponge. I keep trying with my hands but it just comes back with a vengence the next day. It has not been exposed to air but you can see that it is shrinking. Is there anything else I can do without adding chemicals to the tank? Maybe take it out of the tank and somehow treat it?
