Orange spotted gobies

I have 2 Orange Spotted Gobies (Amblyeleotris guttata).
They live together in a cave under some LR with 3 different entrances.
I thought one of them had died as I didn't see her for about 3 months. One day they both came out at the same time. Since then they've been doing the same thing every week or so. One of them seems to get a big belly and then she's gone for a week and comes out looking normal again.
Has anyone had these guys breed? Is this normal behaviour?
At first I was worried about them not getting food as I don't see them come out to eat at the same time. But I'm not that worried anymore, since I've had them for about 6 months.

This is normall breeding behavior - don't worry. I hope you keep them with Alpheus bellulus?

Thanks Peter. I don't have a shrimp for them yet. I wasn't sure if I could still add one after they paired up.
I could pick up one tomorrow. They only had red ones at the LFS, do you know if those ones would be ok with these gobies?
