So I recently obtained a new pair from a local hobbyist. This is a pretty large pair. The female is about 4" and orange, while the male is about 3" and black. I got them home and put them into a 25g temporarily with a couple of flowerpots and some live rock. They spawned unexpectedly after only having them for about a week. This is the 3rd night post spawning and there are about 100. eggs remaining. They are more spread out than I anticipated. We are expecting them to hatch on night 8 (Feb 8-9th).
This is my first attempt at raising clownfish, even though we have a couple of other pairs that we have been trying to coax into spawning. I have rotifer and phyto cultures brewing, and some otohime on the way. The parents are being fed a mixture of mysis and new life spectrum pellets, multiple times a day. I will try to get some pictures posted.
