Order of operations question

So everything is finally going well in my tank. That means its time to mess it up again. I want to do the following three things and am debating on the appropriate order to do things:

1. Switch from rc to fritz salt. Already ordered 6 boxes of salt, so this is happening. Plan to do small changes at first to let things adjust slowly.

2. Add my calcium reactor to the system

3. Add my kalk reactor to the system

Reactors will be started slowly and ramped up over a few months as demand for calcium grows.

Any suggestions on how to integrate these changes without shocking my system? I will measure alk, ca and mag tomorrow before a wc (still using rc) so we know baseline levels.

The salt change isnt a big deal. I switch from IO to Fritz recently. Just went straight to it. Nothing exploded that I noticed.

As far as the reactors. I would add the CR first and see if you even need the kalk reactor. If you need to supplement further maybe look into a dosing system or something.

I agree with Kegogut. If you have a calc reactor use that first.
A calcium reactor is less harsh on a system with that steady slow dose once dialed in.
Plus it forces you test very well the first several weeks/months. Then you can lay back and relax. Your in tune with it:). Much more enjoyable imo

Agree. Just watch your levels with the different salts. Then add calcium reactor, the alk reactor if needed.
