Ordered AC Jr. w/ Temp Probe and DC8. Questions!

I ordered the Aquacontroller Jr. after considering getting the higher end models. It came as a package from marine depot with the temp probe and DC8. I have a couple of questions:

1. Can I link the AC Jr. to a PC to collect data from the RAM to graph etc?
2. Possible to create a webserver much like the ACII and ACIII?
3. Float switch possibily replacing pH probe? I'd like to detect a huge water loss (such as a pipe leaking) that will turn off all pumps. I won't be using the pH probe, could a float sensor somehow be rigged to the AC Jr.?

Now I dont have an AC Jr, but I do have some free time right now.

According to the comparison chart on the neptune site,

The AC JR does not have any ports for computer access and switched inputs. So again, according to the charts, the answer to your first two questions is No. Curt will have to chime in on your third question.
 
the Jr. does talk about it being able to store information on RAM. I'm guessing this is only accessible through the LCD screen then =)

kbecker is correct.. the first 2 are no.. the third is most likely also a no, since the PH probe uses a standard BNC connector, just as any other PH monitor/controller and monitors slight changes in current/voltage (I don't know the exact mechanics). This does not exactly lend itself towards modifying it to become a float switch (which is on/off).

The JR is a great controller, you will be happy with it, I know we were :)

If you wish to use the pH input as a switch, it would require and external voltage source with an output voltage of about 100 mV. With the switch closed the voltage to the connector should be 0 (pH would read about 7.0), and with the switch open the voltage should be about 100 mV (pH would read above or below 7.0 depending on the polarity of the connections). If this doesn't make sense to you, then this isn't a project for you. Of course excessive voltages on the pH connector will likely break the analog circuitry. Connect non-pH probes to the connector at your own risk.
