Ordering a 7-8'x42-48"x30" tank this week, probably with Miracles Aquariums. It's going into the center of a bookcase to divide the basement in two and will be viewable from front and back only.
Main priority is to make it look natural by minimizing things like visible powerheads. Planning on using tunze 6100's in deco rocks, was considering powerheads in the overflow bulkhead?
Overflow is tentatively planned to be on one end. Using the old 180 as a sump.
Would someone please make any recommendations on what should/should not be done by the builder? Wondering about the size and # of holes, overflow (int vs ext) etc.
Overall five 6100's, a 6200 for flow waiting to be installed. Need a skimmer, maybe a orca 250, worried about it overflowing though. The stand may have to be high to fit it since the 180 sump is 24" tall.
Wanted to get a octopus 400 but heard the orca is better?
Tank is one side SPS other side softies. Bare bottom, DSB in sump.
Thanks for any suggestions!!!
