ORP graphing with no ORP probe

Bought an apex a month ago. It rocks! didnt get the ORP probe and it is still graphing out ORP and I dont mean a straight line, its a wavy line that changes as if it was really measuring something

Is it possible you have your pH probe plugged into the combo pH/ORP port (rightmost BNC connector)? If you go to setup - orp setup - orp enable is it on or off?

I didn't have an ORP probe for a while and it did the same thing. You should disable to probe port if you are not using it...

My pH probe is in the correct outlet. I wonder about the ORP reading though. Why would it be changing if there is no probe even attached? makes me wonder if ORP readings with a probe are realistic or just some sort of calculation that produces a reading even without the probe. Just seems wierd

Don't sweat it! An open-ended high-sensitivity input like a probe port can give strange - and meaningless - results. As Schwaggs suggested, disable that port if you don't intend to attach a probe.
