The Millwaukee ORP controller I just got. Started off reading 99 and in 15min reading only 113.. It is slowly rising.. but is this normal?
(my SPS, Acan, chalice all look good - so i know its not 113  )

I usually soak my probes for a few days before calibrating, or trusting any readings they give. Give it a couple days, then calibrate with 400, and you should be ready to go.

Yeah, Im sure they do calibrate, but I still at least double check with a known standard. Shipping can do all sorts of things to gear.

And FWIW, Ive had a couple that took over a week to get stable, and heard of a few that took 14 days before they were reading correctly.

Another thing to try is to move the probe, and base unit around a bit, and see if you have large swings on the reading. Sometimes they are prone to electrical interference from pumps, heaters, other probes, ect...

This is nothing to worry about at all. ORP probes can take 3-5 days to come up to a normal reading and get broke in so to speak. Let it set for a few more days, and the reading should be balanced out.

Thanks,
Jeremy

It did finally settle out at 330... Thanks guys :D
One of the bulbs went bad after 15min burn time, I emailed for credit, but have heard nothing back..

Hey Charlie, I sent you an email earlier this morning, check your spam box to make sure it didn't go in there.

Thanks,
Jeremy
