I recently added an ORP monitor/controller to my system because I planned on using an ozonizer.
I currently run 2 separate 80W high output UV sterilizers on my 400 gallon DT. My ORP has consistently been running 450-460 so there is obviously no need for ozone. My understanding is that the target ORP range is 350-400.
My assumption is that the UV is the cause of these high ORP levels.
I was wondering whether I should in fact turn off one of the sterilizers to bring the ORP down a little. Is the high ORP potentially deleterious to the inhabitants of my tank?
Thanks
