Osmo setup question and problems.

So I have been slowly setting up my sump and had a question. I guess you will need to understand the parts i am talking about.

At this time I would like the class to open to page 20 in their osmo manual .

Go to page 20 , Although as seen in the pictures I secured it ( wish it was a bit longer im not sure if I can lower it enough to get to the right height. If I do an "add on" the bracket gets in the way. ) Even that screw and "top piece" I had to dremel for the screw to fit . I am using both the "medium" sized screws . As the long ones wouldnt work and the short ones do not reach the other side for me to put the nut on.

The parts I am discussing are here . Has anyone had this issue? This is my main concern I dont get it. It just does not fit through the tube holder nor that black piece . I thought it was the molding process ( which is crap on these pieces ) but the screw/bolt does not fit through the holder either. I dont get it.

Also here is the sensor .. I am hoping it will be ok ( going to lower the shut off alarm so my cheato doesnt go everywhere )

Here is the sensor ( sorry about the flash )

The clamp is an off the shelf cable clamp and it is made to be secured by a #10 machine screw which is .20" and the screw is 6mm or .23". There are two ways to tackle this, drill it out as you have done or thread the screw into the the clamp with a screwdriver which is what I have always done as it gives a very secure clamp around the hose. When you are done with that and have the screw most of the way into the nut press the assembly into the horseshoe notch press it in so the flat side of the nut is against the flat inside of the clamp and tighten the screw the rest of the way.
