Osmolator 3155 failure

Hi. I have a 3 month old Tunze Ozmolator 3155. I have been having issues getting it to prime since new. Sent an email via the form on their site, got no reply after a month. That issue seems to have stopped however now I came down to my sump room yesterday to see my return low and the display for the 3155 off. I unplugged it, plugged it back in. Level light came on for about 5 seconds, then turned off. Was off blank for about 10 seconds then the red too high and too low lights came on which was accompanied by audible alarm. Dig out the paperwork and it says its water damage. I need hopefully a Tunze rep to either tell me what else it could be or explain how 5ft up a wall where it's mounted somehow got water damage while nothing else around it did?

I'm trying to send another form email but now the site won't even let me. Says invalid phone number. I've entered it every way possible to no avail. With top ups in the 5-8G per day range, I need a resolution to this quickly.

Please help!

Hi, in general I get all emails from US customers on Tunze.com, I did get the email you sent today and it seems you are in Canada, the email most likely went to Xenia, the distributor for Canada, it is also possible with the website update it was lost. I also got your Facebook post and will just reply here.

Yes, in general that error message indicates water damage. The main cause of water damage is near the power plug or under it, you may be able to see a very small amount of white around it if it is damaged. If the power supply tip is plugged in wet, the water will damage the board etchings under neath the power socket. We typically have to unsolder the socket and touch up any damage if this is the case. Other causes are possible. I am happy to answer questions but I only handle the warranty and service for products from the US.

Thanks for the reply.

After I sent the message on here I went back to the email form. I deleted the phone number all together and the email went through as it did about a month ago.

I just went down and opened the control up and took the board up. There is no sign of white poweder, or any other sort of water that I can see. Again, I'm not sure how this would possibly happen. It literally is mounted 5ft high with nothing above or below it, my rodi to the left and dosing containers that have nothing in them right now on the right.

Regardless, I need to sort something out. I can't have it not working. I can appreciate it's not you to help as you're only dealing with the US. That said, no one replied to the first inquiry a month ago, and only you now. So how do I go about getting this sorted out?

The manuals do have all the contact info for Canada and the US, I would call and email Xenia, www.xeniainc.com. It is not impossible their is another cause, this water damage indicator basically detects a high resistance or open circuit on the board and shuts it down as a safety. It is usually caused by damage to the main + and - bands around the board periphery.
