Osmolator ATO Question

I would not recommend it, it may work but to save $100 it is not worthwhile. The 3152 has a timer as its safety, this is what limits the tank sizes it can handle, the default timer setting is 1.8 minutes which is for up to 25 gallons, the extended timer of 3 minutes is good for up to 55 gallons, but after 3 minutes it turns off having only delivered about 2/3rds of a gallon, if the evaporation rate is low, it can work. My main thinking is the bigger the tank, the bigger the value of the inhabitants, at a certain point it is easily worth the extra hundred for the 3155 and the redundancy of a float and a timer for back up and a more precise optic sensor. That is less than the cost of many fish or corals and just seems unwise to cut corners on something so important.

thanks so much for explaining that
does the default timer and the extended timer are adjustable by user on the 3152?

Yes, pages 21-29 explain the timer in the manual and you can download any Tunze manual on Tunze.com.
