Osmolator hose/pump question

Hi,

I'm trying to set up my new Osmolator and for the life of me I can't get the black hose through the skirt on the pump. The skirt is what I'm calling the plastic reducer that goes over the outlet of the pump. I must be missing something here.

The black hose fits inside the pump discharge "skirt". At least in mine it does

It's odd, it fits snuggly in the pump itself but won't go through the skirt at all. Possibly the skirt is defective?

edit: I fixed it. I bored it out a bit more and fits literally like a glove now. Weird though, wouldn't expect something like that from Tunze.
