Osmolator not osmolating

In months past, I've found the Osmolator does not detect a low level and I have had to top the tank off manually. I'd clean the sensor with RO/DI, wipe it off, then put it back in service where it would work for a few more months. Now, however, it does not recognize low level at all, even after a recent vinegar soak. The controller still shows the water to be level, but it has dropped enough to have triggered it by now. This is in a 75g sump, FWIW. The controller is mounted on the wall.

I've had the unit for a little less than a year but I'm not the original owner. Assuming I just have a faulty optical sensor, what does a repair like this run?

It is $57, the part is $32, labor is $15 and this includes any small additional repairs, for example a small capacitor must be replaced occasionally or a wire is corroded, this would be done at no extra charge and $10 is for return shipping.

Closing the loop on this one, though the thread is now a month old. I took another good look at the sensor and it felt rough. I gave it another good long soak in vinegar and then rubbed with a paper tower (previously just blotted to avoid scratching the sensor). It came clean and smooth and now works perfectly again.
