Osmolator problem

Hi Roger,

What's the problem when you plug in the controller and all you see is the too high led lit and the too low led blinking. Nothing else lit and a very loud beeping sound. Can't figure out what's need to be done, because nothing else works. Thanks.

Can you give me more info about the age of the unit? This is a safety shut down that can be caused by a few things.

1) Water damage to the circuit board.
2) Nearby strong magnetic or electromagnetic field, ballasts, magnetic holders and wireless controllers being the most common causes.
3) A signal conflict where the optic sensor says the water is too low but the float says the water is too high, this could be caused by the float being hung up, improperly installed in the magnet holder, inverted on the post or damaged in some way and the optic sensor being out of water.

To start, I would open it to check for water damage, if this is the cause, the best course is just to order a new controller, if it is not water damage, I would send it in as it would be under warranty. You would just need to remove the two screws and look for any green or white corrosion or obvious salt on the board.

I've remove and check the circuit and everything looks okay. Could it be the lazor? How long are these unit under warranty? Thanks Roger.

A faulty optic sensor generally causes a permanent green light that won't change with a water level drop. It won't cause the error you describe. The warranty is 2 years.

Send it in and include a note in the box with return address and phone number. Send the controller, power supply and pump. Include a receipt if you have one, without a receipt, the warranty will be by manufacture date.

Since 0211 it has been a small price tag looking tag on the underside of the front cover, before that it was either a round sundial type date tag on the underside of the board or a price tag type tag on the back cover under the board.
