Tunze i need your help. so when the water level drops the eye doesnt recognize it and the controller still says the water level height is perfect (green). so i tested it by pulling the eye up higher and still nothing. so took the eye off the mounting bracket and still nothing so i turned off the unit and soaked the eye in hot soapy water thinking that this will help but it didnt. i plug in the controller and it does its little test fill at the initial start and thats it. i pull the eye out of the water and the unit still doesnt know to start filling again. whats the next step to fixing this? thank you for your time.

I would dry the sensor and look at it, if it has a haze on it, this can cause what you describe. If it is minerals a soak in vinegar for a few hours will solve it, if it is algae or bacteria film, a soak in bleach followed by a thorough wiping should solve it.

so the eye is not hazy nor dirty. i already soaked it in hot soapy water a hour ago and wiped it down real good so its pretty clean. i did notice the back plastic on the rim of the eye looks a little off center meaning that the two halves separated. could this mean water got into the eye or wires? i couldnt see any water in the eye when rotating it so im not too sure. give me a second to upload a picture to give you a better understanding.

Yes, that could be the case, water may have entered the sensor and caused a short. We can replace the sensor within a day of receipt if you send in the controller.

Ship to:

Tunze USA

I would just need the controller with attached sensors and would recommend either Priority Mail or UPS. Just include a note in the box with return address and phone number.
