Osmolator pump max height?

Does anybody have any practical experience with this? According to the website, it says the max pumping height for the osmolator 3155 pump is 2.2 meters.

Does anybody know if it can pump further than that reliably? I would love to have the osmolator, but due having no space left in the stand, I would need to pump up from the basement. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think you can buy some type of adapter and use a different pump.

Yeah they have a switched outlet adapter for external pumps, but it costs $58 and I would like to avoid it if at all possible. No point in buying it if I don't need to, but I might if the little pump is just going to burn up.
