I'm DIYing an ATO for my 24g Aquapod (would love to purchase the whole Osmolator setup but as a new college grad without a permanent job yet, I have to save where I can) and I plan to use the Osmolator pump from Tunze for a few reasons: 1) it fits through the lid of the 5g container I'm using where a MJ or other wont fit, 2) it can handle the head pressure of 4ft where an Aqualifter won't, and 3) the low voltage vs using a 110v pump.
At approximately 4ft, what GPH will the Osmolator pump push at either 9v or 12v? (I have both in the appropriate amp ratings just sitting around)
Is there a min or max amount of time the pump should be on per cycle?
Is there a max recommended number of cycles per day?
I evaporate a little over a gallon per day, and I would like to set it up to turn the pump on every 2-3 hours, I just don't want to burn up the pump prematurely.
Thanks!
