I have 2 Tunze Osmolators (one on each tank) and one of them is / has died. The green LED lights indicating that the water level is okay, but when the water level drops, all LED's turn off. After a few minutes, I get the RED warning low level LED indicating that the pump never filled the tank back to the normal level. In other words, the "Pump On" LED and the output voltage to the pump never occurs. This unit is now about 28 months old and therefore out of warrantee. The question is, does anyone service these units or do I have to replace it. I figure the repair cost has to be less expensive then replacing the entire unit.
I have switched the pump and the power supply with my other functioning unit so with no success. I also opened the Osmolator to confirm there was no salt corosion or anything that appeared burned inside and there are no visible or obvious problems. Unfortunately, my electronics skill doesn't let me go much further into the cause of the controller not turning the pump on or illuminating the LED indicating the pump should be on.
On a side note, the Osmolator on my 90gal tank is over 3-1/2 years old and continues to run flawlessly just like the day I bought it. These are the single best investments I made on each of my fish tanks.
