Osmolator Wiring Question

Roger,
I need to extend the lead connecting the controller to the osmolator pump so that I can place the pump about 8 feet from my tank in a larger reservoir. What wire will work best to extend the lead coming from the control unit. It looks like regular speaker wire.

I have always used 18gauge speaker wire. Keep in mind that long runs can create problems as the pump may have difficulty getting all the air out of the hose.

I ran it last night using 14-2 speaker wire, extending the distance from the pump to my kalk reactor about 7 feet. It works like a charm. Gotta love Tunze products!
