The Osmomat is an intank version of the Osmolator and could be changed to an Osmolator for $25 approximately. The Osmolator is for in sump the Osmomat is for intank. We will see if we can install an Osmolator in an Emperor. The Osmomat is not offered as a kit with the Calcium Dispenser.

The time for the tank upgrade has come. I am picking up my new 215 from Aquatek next weekend, June 27. I would like to take the osmomat that I have set up now on my 37 gallon and convert it to be used as an osmolator for the new tank. Can you get the conversion kit over to Aquatek for me to pick up next weekend along with a layout for me on how to change it over. Thanks alot rodger.

On a side note, I just picked up a pair of 6100 for the new system and I am very excited about them. I am waiting for the new multicontroller to come out so please put a rush on one for me. Thanks for everything.

I will see what I can do- your a day late and a dollar short, I just sold my last full holder set but likely can piece one together. I'll be at AquaTek on Saturday for there anniversary sale.

Roger - why can't you use the box mount that comes with the Osmomot to make it like the Osmolator? As I recall there are quite a few pieces that could help. Might have to DIY a little though. Was that holding set coming my way? How big is it?

Can I say one more time I love my Osmomot? :D

The mount is essentially the same but you need the clips that hold the sensors and a couple more mounts- one for each sensor and one to hold the hose to the tank. The set is really just a few rails and clips, they run about $25. If you need one let me know. I am out of full sets but I can piece one together.

Ah. I knew it was the sensors. I was thinking those parts that make the vice would work, but maybe not. Anyway, I was just busting your chops, I don't need the set. This thing I did is still holding, plus I will be upgrading my tank soon to a 37 cube with a sump. I was planning on mounting the Osmomot in the sump on a baffle. No reason that wouldn't work right? Or am I missing something?

It will work but it will be finicky and it is an unnessecary complication since the sump does the same thing as the box.

The problem is the sump always has some surface movement and this complicates the install and makes it very likely the overflow alarm will go off.

Rodger,
Thanks for helping me at Aquatek this past weekend. I hope to have my new system up and running in a few weeks and now the top off system is one less thing I have to worry about. The new products for 2004 look awesome. I am looking very forward to getting my new multicontroller. I have a few questions on the multicontroller and the other new products.

1. I understand the new multicontroller will control moon lights. Do any moon lights come with the multicontroller? It looks like one does. Will this be enough for a 6 foot tank? I already have 2 of the PFO moonlights. Will the new multicontroller control the PFO moonlights?

2. The Wave Box. It looked very cool. I have two new 6100ââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s that I plan to use with the new mulitcontroller. Can I add a wavebox to the system? Would it replace one of the 6100ââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s? What pump comes in the wavebox? Is it a 6100?

As you can tell I do not know exactly what I am talking about. Thanks for the help, Steve.

Roger you might be surprised to find out that I have mine currently setup near the carlson surge of my TetraTec filter and it works perfectly! If it can handle that, the sump would be find I think.

The wavebox is a seperate adjunct to flow and will not replace the Streams. It has a hybrid between a 6100 and 6200 Stream inside.

The new multicontroller can control the moonlight it is equipped with. It is enough for a moonlight simulation, the moon is like 1/250,000 the intensity of the sun IIRC so the little LED is quite enough though it may not be what people are used to. It cannot run another moonlight but in the future we will offer a moonlight only unit.

So what youare saying is:

1. If I get the wavebox in conjunction with the two 6100's my system will be top notch? But can I run just 1 6100 on one end and the wavebox on the other?

2. So will the moon light that comes with it be enough for the 215? If I need or want more lights can I splice another tunze moonlight on to it?

You would not be able to splice in a moonlight, it is part of the photocell and hardwired. It will be enough, not enough to see the whole tank but technically equivalent to moonlight. It brightens and dims through a 29 day cycle. On full moon it is enough for a 58 to be viewed. The moon is very, very dim so the goal is not to light the tank just to simulate lunar phases realistically.

The ideal is to have a Stream on each side and run the wavebox in conjunction with the stream on the same side and then turn it off when the opposing pump is on, this can all be done with the multicontroller.
