OT - AC repair

So woke up to a warm house --- Compressor is bad per repair guy - The company I called is "one of the most expensive" for repairs per the actual repair guy and the cost of the compressor was basically what I had my last unit installed for through a company no longer named the same thing (I'd use them again but can't find the number). I'm wondering if anyone has personal experience with a company that won't rip me off but still do a good job.

I'm in the north valley (technically still phx but borders glendale). Any help would be great.

I had mine replaced by a company called AC by Jay (couple years ago). They have done right by me, but not sure where they fit in the whole cost comparison market. I went with them because they were a Trane dealer (which is what I wanted), and they were willing to work with me pulling money out of a 401k (which would take a week) and didn't want to pressure me into doing "financing" through them. They have covered the one warranty call (which was minor) no questions asked, and have been a decent company to deal with.

used to use ac by jay, not only are they overpriced they always try to up sell you. Had two ac units go out not long after eachother and used AC Guys Inc. Great service, honest and reliable. Owner operated. Great reviews on Yelp its actually how i found them

I just used these guys last week at the recommendation of a community member, and found them to be excellent! Service was fast and reasonable; parts markup was also sane.
